For including videos in submissions to the LEGO Education Community, files must be hosted on one of three sites: YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion. Below are step-by-step instructions for uploading a video to YouTube and embedding it in a discussion comment.

  1. Go to youtube.com and sign in with a valid YouTube account.

  2. Press on the Create icon in the top right and select “Upload video” from the drop down.

  1. It will then take you to a dialog that says "Select Files.” Select the file you want to upload. It may take a few minutes to upload and process your video.

  1. Be sure to set the “visibility” of your video via the visibility settings in the YouTube Menu

  2. If you don’t want your video listed/searchable on YouTube but do still want to use it on the LEGO Education Community, set your video’s visibility to be Unlisted.

  2. Once uploaded to YouTube, copy the link from YouTube and head back to the LEGO Education Community.

  3. In a new discussion post, use the Video feature to get the video dialog.
