To make using Spike fun and teach coding, I inserted a marker and asked the students to draw geometric shapes: a square (easy), a pentagon (a bit difficult), or a circle (very difficult).
They learned very well about angles, sides, and speed.
Then I had them modify the block coding to create random, repeated, and progressive shapes, and I explained that they were doing fractal geometry!
They had a lot of fun!
